Apple Vision Pro Pre-Orders Are Now Live, Starting From $3,499

Pre-orders of the Apple Vision Pro have officially gone live on the company’s online store, though if you do not want to secure one for yourself, remember that the headset will launch on February 2, giving you the chance to peruse its functionality in person when you visit any one of the retail outlets. The device starts at $3,499, and you will receive the following package.

“Apple Vision Pro comes with a Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band — giving users two options for the fit that works best for them. Apple Vision Pro also includes a Light Seal, two Light Seal Cushions, an Apple Vision Pro Cover for the front of the device, Polishing Cloth, Battery, USB-C Charge Cable, and USB-C Power Adapter.”

Those who require prescription lenses will range between $99 and $149, depending on your requirements. While some might be disappointed that they have to pay for these accessories, it is a requirement since the Apple Vision Pro needs to be a perfect fit for the wearer. If not, then interaction and media consumption becomes difficult. If you are an Apple employee, you will reportedly get a 25 percent discount, bringing the total to around $2,624, though the amount is without taxes.

As for the specifications, the Apple Vision Pro is kitted out with the top-end M2, which sports an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU, which will be plentiful when viewing 4K content through the dual microLED screens. There is also the R1 co-processor, which will reduce input latency and take some processing overhead away from the M2, allowing you to enjoy an uninterrupted movie or interaction session with the headset.

As for power, the Apple Vision Pro can be used with the included battery puck, which is said to last for two hours on a single charge during regular use, but you can get an additional 30 minutes when watching a movie. Other than that, you can tether the headset to a power outlet, but that means you cannot move around when using it.

Shipments of the initial batch will range between 60,000 and 80,000 units, so it goes without saying that if you want to drive the head-mounted wearable daily, you have to be quick in pre-ordering the Apple Vision Pro, otherwise you could be looking at an insanely long wait time.
