Jakarta (ANTARA) – Italian League club Atalanta are reportedly targeting English League Division club Sheffield United centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic in this summer’s transfer market.
Quoted from the Italian Football page on Saturday, Atalanta are reportedly looking to bring in two new central defenders, one of whom is Ahmedhodzic.
Atalanta are currently trying to strengthen all aspects of the team after previously managing to convince coach Gian Piero Gasperini to stay at Dea.
Atalanta’s decision to focus on Ahmedhodzic is inseparable from the free departure of Jose Luis Palomino this summer and Giorgio Scalvini still to recover.
It is believed that Atalanta could bring Ahmedhodzic into the transfer market this summer, especially as Sheffield United were relegated from the English Premier League this season.
It is understood that the 25-year-old still has a contract until June 2025 with Sheffield United and it is estimated that Atalanta will have to shell out €10 million (Rs 176 billion) to buy out Ahmedhodzic.
