Jakarta (ANTARA) – Spanish League club Barcelona has officially announced Hansi Flick as the new coach to lead the Blaugrana to replace Xavi Hernandez, who was sacked last week.

Quoted from the club’s official press release, on Tuesday, Hansi Flick signed a contract with Barcelona until June 2026 accompanied by club president Joan Laporta.

After being officially announced as the new manager of Barcelona, ​​Hansi Flick admitted that he felt honored to be able to manage a team like the Blaugrana and thanked all the parties that made this possible.

“First of all, this is an extraordinary club. When I was here, I heard extraordinary things. Everyone in the club tried to give their all for this club,” Flick said.

The German coach added that the philosophy adopted by Barcelona is similar to his, such as ball control and attacking football.

Regarding Barcelona’s movements in the next summer transfer window, Flick admitted that he is ready to accept the challenge that Barcelona is in a bad financial situation and already knows the first steps to take.
