Bellingham does not feel competitive if Mbappe joins Real Madrid

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Jude Bellingham said he would not feel competitive or bothered if Real Madrid brought French striker Kylian Mbappe into the transfer market this season after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) expired.

Bellingham who scored 23 goals and 12 assists for Real Madrid during this season I actually feel happy if The Blancos brought in Mbappe to add strength to their attack line.

“I didn’t choose the team and obviously I didn’t make the transfer, but Kylian Mbappe is an extraordinary player. Who wouldn’t want to play with a player as good as him?” Bellingham said as reported by AFP on Monday (27/5), local time.

“I don’t want to put pressure on him in a situation like this. I know it might be difficult for him because people always talk about him. But it would be a lot of fun,” said the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

Mbappe, who led PSG to win the French Cup last week, has not yet decided whether to choose Real Madrid or another Premier League club.

“All I want is to finish everything well with my club, with a trophy. I think everything has its time and I will announce my future club at the right time,” Mbappe said.

“I don’t know when yet. There are still some details (to be resolved) but the most important thing is to finish well here,” Mbappe said.

With PSG, Mbappe managed to win many trophies at national level, including winning the French championship (Ligue 1) six times and four French cups.

Although Mbappe and PSG never won the Champions League, the forward performed brilliantly scoring 42 goals in 64 appearances for PSG during his seven seasons in Europe’s elite club competition.

PSG reached the Champions League final in 2020 but lost 0-1 to Bayern Munich in a match played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, Real Madrid has the opportunity to win their 15th Champions League trophy if they can beat Borussia Dortmund in the final match at Wembley Stadium on Sunday (2/6) WIB.
