Jakarta (ANTARA) – Fabian Hurzeler has become the Premier League’s youngest full-time manager after Brighton and Hove Albion said on Saturday they had recruited the 31-year-old as their new manager.
Hurzeler had previously led St Pauli to promotion from the second division of the German League. He has a contract with Brighton until 2027.

The Texas-born German is now in charge of the Brighton team which includes several players older than him, such as James Milner (38), Danny Welbeck (33) and Lewis Dunk (32).
However president Brighton’s Tony Bloom says Hurzeler’s experience at St Pauli has made him a candidate to replace Roberto De Zerbi who left at the end of last season.

Hurzeler will begin his new job when he receives his work permit, before Brighton undertake pre-season preparations in July.
“From the beginning of the process of appointing our new manager, Fabian was always the best candidate and someone who caught our attention with his outstanding work at St Pauli over the last 18 months,” Bloom was quoted as saying by AFP .
“He has a style of play in line with what we want for Brighton and Hove Albion, and I’m sure that will be one of the things our fans will appreciate and appreciate,” he added.
Ryan Mason, 29, was interim manager of Tottenham Hotspur in 2021 and is the youngest manager to lead a Premier League team.
But Hurzeler is the youngest full-time manager since the Premier League was founded in 1992.
He can’t wait to start his new adventure in England. “This club has a unique history and a bold vision for the future, so I am very excited to be a part of the project,” Hurzeler said.
