Jakarta (ANTARA) – Serie A club Juventus have officially announced the arrival of Douglas Luiz as coach Thiago Motta’s first summer transfer.
The Old Lady have managed to secure the services of Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa for €50 million (around R876 billion).
“It’s official! Douglas Luiz is now a Juventus player,” Juventus wrote in a statement on their official website on Sunday.
In the press release, Juventus specifies that the Brazilian national team midfielder has signed a five-year contract with the Bianconeri until 30 June 2029.
As is known, Juventus is entering a new era with Thiago Motta as coach.
Motta himself reportedly wants to implement his style of play, so he needs several new players in his squad.
Douglas Luiz himself has not yet officially travelled to Turin to confirm his transfer because he still plays for the Brazilian national team.
