Today, Apple has seen fit to release beta 2 of its upcoming iOS 17.4, iPadOS 17.4, watchOS 10.4, macOS 14.4, and tvOS 17.4 to developers. For the first time, the company has also seeded the first ever visionOS 1.1 beta update to developers for testing purposes. If you are a developer, you can download and install the latest builds on your compatible devices for free.
Apple has made iOS 17.4, watchOS 10.4, macOS 14.4, and tvOS 17.4 beta 2 available to developers. visionOS 1.1 beta 1 is also available for the first time
If you are a developer, you can download and install iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4 beta 2 from the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Head over to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and download the latest iOS 17.4 beta 2 on your iPhone. Make sure that your Apple ID is connected to your Developer Account to receive the update over the air.
Other than iOS 17.4, Apple has also released beta 2 of watchOS 10.4 to developers. The latest beta can be downloaded on your Apple Watch through the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Launch the Apple Watch app and head to General > Software Update > Beta Updates > and install watchOS 10.4 beta 2. Make sure that your Apple Watch has over 50 percent battery life and is plugged into a power source.
Apple has also released beta 2 of macOS 14.4 to developers alongside iOS 17.4 for testing. If you want to test the latest beta on your Mac, it can be downloaded through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences, Make sure that your Apple ID is linked to your Developer Account.
You can also download tvOS 17.4 beta 2 on your Apple TV by opting into the beta through the Settings app. For the first time, Apple has also released beta 1 of visionOS 1.1 to developers. The latest beta can be downloaded on the Vision Pro headset by toggling on the developer betas through the Settings app. You do require a Developer Account connected to your Apple ID to receive the updates over the air.
