Google Maps Could Soon Show Plug and Charge Locations So You Can Charge Your Electric Vehicles without Any Worries

There is no denying that Google Maps has done a lot for people who own electric vehicles, and it appears that the company does not plan on giving up on the idea, either. A recent update suggests that the platform is adding a new feature that will help all EV owners locate charging stations that have Plug and Charge capabilities.

Google Maps is going to make it easier for you to charge your EV vehicles that support Plug and Charge technology

This information was found in Version 111.15.103 of the Google Maps app for Android, and it shows that Google could start showing charging stations that have Plug and Charge capabilities. You can learn more by looking at the strings below.

"Charging stations with plug and charge let you charge more conveniently, without using your phone or charging card. You can set up plug and charge in your vehicle’s settings and payment app."

Now, in case you don’t know, the Plug and Charge technology is a more simplified way of charging your electric vehicle. It allows you to charge your car without using an app or a charging card. The payment process is handled by the car, and vehicles like BMW don’t even require an internet connection, which makes it super simple when you are parking your car in underground garages. With this feature coming to Google Maps, you just have one more way of having things simplified.

At the moment, companies like BMW, Ford, GM, and Mercedes are offering this Plug and Charge technology, and I am hoping that more companies will start working on introducing this technology in the future. The good thing is that with the upcoming Google Maps update, it is safe to say that this update is going to make it easier for people who are always looking for a more convenient and seamless way of charging their vehicles.

Do you have a list of features that you would want Google to start introducing to Google Maps? Do share your wishlist of the features below.
