Inter’s agent suggests giving Lautaro Martinez a pay rise

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Alejandro Camano, acting as Lautaro Martinez’s agent, has suggested Italian league club Inter Milan increase his client’s salary in the player’s new contract with the club.

Quoted by Football Italia on Friday, Camano explained that Lautaro still has two years left on his contract with Inter and that a new contract must be offered immediately as the player transfer window opens this summer.

As reported by FCInterNews, Camano explained that his party is currently still exploring negotiations for a new contract with Inter.

“The Nerazzurri recently changed ownership. So I think they need to solve their internal problems. We’ll see each other again later, as always. They are a club that I love, Lautaro feels 100% an integral part of it,” Camano said.

“There are still two years left on his contract, so there are still two years left to evaluate the situation. Until 2026, only Inter can make the decision to sell him. He is currently very satisfied with the contract which is valid until 2026,” he continued .

Camano explained that Lautaro has the desire to sign a multi-year contract with Inter and that there has been a verbal agreement between the two parties.

He explains that the Argentine player is very happy to be at Inter and that the discussions continue even if the Juventus player isn’t there yet.

“I would add: his loyalty to Inter is absolute. He wants to stay and renew his contract, but we need to talk about what player he is at the moment. If overall he can be compared to Haaland, to Mbappé, to players at the highest international level, we must start from here”, explained Camano.

“You know, in Italy there are players who earn more, but do less. I had to address all these issues with Inter when we met. We haven’t spoken to any club about a possible transfer, precisely because he wants to stay Milan”, he concluded.

The 26-year-old player recorded 282 appearances for Inter in various competitions and was able to contribute with 129 goals and 43 assists out of a total of 19,482 minutes played.

This season Lautaro has made 44 appearances, contributing 27 goals and seven assists from all competitions for a total of 3,461 minutes played with Inter.
