Jude Bellingham still can’t believe they met Dortmund in the UCL final

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham admits that he still can’t believe that he will meet his former team, Borussia Dortmund, in the Champions League (UCL) final which will be played at Wembley Stadium, on June 2 at 02:00 WIB.

Before joining Real Madrid, Bellingham was a great midfielder at Die Borussen for three seasons with a record of 24 goals and 25 assists in 132 games in all competitions.

The English midfielder was then fought over by top European clubs in last year’s summer transfer market before falling in love with Real Madrid, who paid him a fantastic €103 million.

Wednesday evening local time or Thursday WIB start, he helped lead Real Madrid to the UCL final after Joselu Mato’s two goals in the 88th minute and the 90+1 turned Bayern Munich’s position with a score of 2 -1 or 4-3 on aggregate in the second leg semi-final at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“This is a dream come true. If anyone had predicted this before this season, I probably wouldn’t have believed it,” Bellingham was quoted as saying on Bayern’s official website on Thursday.

“I’m still pretty shocked and emotional. I have to give him a night’s sleep to digest all of this,” he continued.

“I don’t think I will play against Dortmund in England now,” he added.

On the same occasion, he added that once again the depth of the Los Blancos squad made the difference in the match.

Joselu, protagonist of the victory, was a striker who only came on in the 81st minute to replace Federico Valverde.

“Our bench is definitely one of our greatest qualities. If we are behind we can always add something better. This is important,” said the 20-year-old midfielder.

This season’s UCL final is the 18th final in club history for Real Madrid, who are currently aiming for “A Por La 15” or their 15th title in Europe’s most prestigious club tournament.
