Manchester United have officially extended Erik Ten Hag’s contract until 2026

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Manchester United have officially extended the contract of manager Erik ten Hag by one year, until 2026.

The news was announced on the club’s official website on Thursday afternoon WIB. The Dutch coach has been appointed MU manager in 2022 and his contract will expire in 2025 before he signs a new one.

“I am very happy to have reached an agreement with the club to continue working together,” said the 54-year-old coach.

Since arriving from Ajax, Ten Hag has brought trophies to Manchester United, namely the 2023/24 FA Cup and the 2022/23 Carabao Cup.

In a statement after officially extending his contract, Ten Hag said he was proud of what he achieved over the past two years at MU.

However, he stressed that he and his team need to work harder to build on existing progress.

MU themselves finished third in the English Premier League in Ten Hag’s inaugural season, which also ended the club’s six-year drought after beating Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final.
