TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta – The Prambanan Temple is set to present a music, art, and cultural festival dubbed Swara Prambanan which will be held on December 31, 2023, featuring a number of popular musicians, including Sheila On 7, Shaggydog, Ndarboy Genk, Jikustik, and Kunto Aji.
Febrina Intan, the director of state-owned tourism company PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC), believed that visitors will have a different and memorable experience as they celebrate the last sunset of the year at this majestic temple in Yogyakarta.
“We hope that visitors will feel a different energy when they visit Swara Prambanan on New Year’s Eve,” Febrina said on Monday, November 20.
According to her, the Prambanan Temple, the world’s cultural heritage site recognized by UNESCO, is a magnificent masterpiece with extraordinary historical and philosophical value.
Apart from musical performances, visitors can enjoy an art installation entitled “Bukti Cinta ke-1000” which literally means 1,000th proof of love by Yogyakarta artists.
As for cultural attractions, visitors can enjoy various local cultural shows in the Swara Stage area, as well as a variety of traditional Yogyakarta cuisine in the Medang Market area.
“We design this collaboration of music, art, and culture with the best of Yogyakarta to be an event that provides unique characteristics and experience value for visitors on New Year’s Eve,” Febriana said.
Tickets for Swara Prambanan at Prambanan Temple are available in three categories, namely presale 1 at Rp275,000, presale 2 at Rp325,000, and general sale at Rp425,000.
