PS Plus Extra/Premium Adds Resident Evil 2, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, Mana Titles in January

Sony has announced the latest lineup of games coming to their PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers in January. Following Game Pass’ lead, PS Plus will also be adding Resident Evil 2 this month, along with Hardscape: Shipbreaker, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Just Cause 3, and more. Meanwhile, on the classics front, you can look forward to multiple Mana titles, Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace, and more.

Here are your PS Plus Extra headliners for January…

Resident Evil 2 (PS4, PS5)

From Wccftech’s review – “Resident Evil 2 is a polished, respectful remake of a survival horror classic that probably would have benefitted from a slightly more daring approach. Hints of a braver revamp are sprinkled throughout, but it doesn’t take the risks necessary to join the canon of truly great video game remakes. Make no mistake though, if you loved the original Resident Evil 2, you’ll likely love the remake, and new players who can tolerate a few old-school quirks ought to have a gruesome good time as well.”

Hardspace: Shipbreaker (PS5)

From Wccftech’s review – “Hardspace Shipbreaker does everything it wants to do, and does it well. The shipbreaking is fun, tactile, and rewarding. The story is humorous, thoughtful, and engaging. And the music is relaxing and thoughtful. Hardspace: Shipbreaker is a fantastic game worthy of the fifteen hours or so it takes to complete.”

Here are the other games available to PS Plus Extra subscribers this month:

  • Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Next-Level Edition (PS4, PS5)
  • Lego City Undercover (PS4)
  • Just Cause 3 (PS4)
  • Session: Skate Sim (PS4, PS5)
  • Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun (PS4)
  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong (PS4, PS5)
  • Surviving the Aftermath (PS4)

  • Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace (PS4, PS5)
