Longsheng, China (ANTARA) – Miao Longsheng oil tea is one of the products that visitors must taste when they come to the Longsheng region of Zhuang Guangxi Autonomous Region in southern China.
Several steps are required to prepare this special tea, including washing, frying, mashing and boiling with ginger.
This tea is usually served in a bowl and enjoyed by adding salt, fried rice, fried peanuts or chopped spring onions to the bowl.
In 2018, Miao Longsheng Oil Tea was inscribed on the list of intangible cultural heritage of Guangxi. This tea is an important cultural symbol of the region and is at the center of local food culture.
Oil tea also promotes the local cultural tourism industry. With the popularity of Longsheng, more and more people are visiting the region and tasting this special tea. The local government continues to work to optimize its industrial structure to maximize the potential of this tea.
