The eight-goal drama colored the 4-4 draw in the Madrid-Villareal match

Jakarta (ANTARA) – An eight-goal celebration occurred as Real Madrid were held to a 4-4 draw against hosts Villarreal in their La Liga match at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Monday morning WIB.

Four of Villarreal’s goals were scored by Alexander Sorloth, while four of Real Madrid’s goals were scored by Arda Guler who scored two goals, Joselu and Lucas Vazquez.

Real Madrid, who are sure to be champions this season, have now collected 94 points, while Villarreal is in eighth place with 52 points, according to the Spanish League website.

Guler gave Real the lead in the 14th minute with a goal after receiving a short pass from Brahim Diaz outside the penalty area.

Two minutes later, Villarreal’s goal was broken again after Joselu followed Lucas Vazquez’s cross with a header to the far post.

Villarreal scored in the 39th minute when Yerson Mosquera beat Fran Garcia to send a cross that Sorloth finished with a header.

Real Madrid then took a 3-1 lead. Brahim Diaz sent a pass to Lucas Vazquez who fired a right-footed shot from the front of the penalty area into the bottom corner of the goal.

Real Madrid scored their fourth goal in the first half when Arda Guler put his name on the scoreboard again after completing Lucas Vazquez’s beautiful pass from the right flank.

Villarreal started the second half by reducing the deficit in the 48th minute. Sorloth burst into Madrid’s goal for the second time with a header after receiving Gerard Moreno’s cross from the right flank.

Four minutes later Villarreal scored their third goal. Sorloth scored a hat-trick after making an individual move which ended with a low kick that went between the legs of goalkeeper Lunin.

Sorloth made a four-pointer to make it 4-4 in the 56th minute. This goal started when the ball was caught in Real Madrid’s defense area. The one-two between Gerard Moreno and Santi Comesana ended with a low pass that Sorloth completed into the bottom corner of the Real Madrid goal.
