Trent said Liverpool were successful even though they didn’t win the Premier League

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Liverpool winger Trent Alexander-Arnold said so The Reds finished the 2024 season successfully despite failing to win the Premier League.

This season Liverpool, left by manager Juergen Klopp, have won just one League Cup. Mohamed Salah cs was expelled from the FA Cup, eliminated by Atalanta in the Europa League and finished third in the final Premier League table.

However, according to Trent, Liverpool made progress because in the previous season they had finished the championship in fifth place and had not played in the Champions League.

“This is a good season, an improvement on last season,” Alexander-Arnold was quoted as saying on Liverpool’s official website on Tuesday.

“We are improving as a team, becoming title contenders, going further and we have improved,” he said.

“If you progress, it means this is a good season. Take the positive side and move forward and hopefully you can continue next season,” said the Liverpool youth academy graduate.

The 25-year-old player, included in the England squad for Euro 2024, regretted that his physical condition was not optimal and that he had been injured for two months, so he was not optimal to help Liverpool during this season.

“Of course it’s not pleasant to have an injury. You want to play as much as possible and help the team, but sometimes things like that happen,” he said.

“It was a difficult moment, a moment that taught me to be patient. It makes you stronger, appreciate the moments when you are fit and able to play more,” Trent said.
